Lake and Mendocino Counties know that first responders are indispensable in a disaster. The Heroes of Health and Safety Fair highlights the full range of services these emergency professionals provide. The day will feature medical helicopters, rescue vehicles, car safety inspections, Narcan training, fire extinguisher training, and a variety of health screenings as well as free COVID and flu vaccines. In addition, kids’ bikes and bike helmets will be given away. The fair happens on October 21, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport. Admission is free.
