Join volunteer docents at Point Cabrillo Light Station State Historic Park for the unique opportunity to climb to the top of the lighthouse tower and stand next to the historic 1909 Fresnel Lens. These tours happen only a few times a year, and all funds raised from these tours go right back into taking care of this park. Tours are first-come, first-serve, no reservations, at $10 per adult and $5 per child (under 18). Children must be over 42 inches tall to climb the stairs (no babies or pets allowed). Tour guests must be able to climb three sets of steep ladders and there is a half-mile walk from the parking lot to the lighthouse. First tour begins at 11 a.m.; last tour at 2 p.m. on April 6 and 7 at Point Cabrillo, 13800 Point Cabrillo Dr., Mendocino. Tours last 15-20 minutes.
