Graduation Celebration

If this June finds your family proudly sharing in the celebration of an academic accomplishment, then the word ‘party’ is definitely in your future. Planning a graduation, particularly from high school, requires collaboration from the graduate and more flexibility.
  • Consider the age and time commitments of the graduate before deciding when, where and how long the party should be.
  • Most teens and college grads will have other parties to attend so
  • coordinate schedules ahead of time.
  • Discuss with your graduate who he or she would like to invite. Perhaps a teacher or maybe a coach as well as friends.
  • Food items that can be easily and safely left out for guests to serve themselves are best.

Remember, many of your guests will come and go, trying to make it to more than one graduation party.

There are lots of party options nowadays. From simple to extreme and everything in between. But some things stay the same and it pays to plan ahead.
  • Decide on a date and time. This is often the most difficult task for a graduation party.
  • Decide on a budget.
  • Choose a location.
  • Create a menu.
  • Decorate.
Invite or Evite. Keep control of the invitation list. For birthdays a good rule of thumb is to invite as many children as the age of your child - plus one.

Most of all don’t forget Have Fun!
