Jason and Son Bailey Make the Catch
Jason has lived in Ukiah almost his entire life. A football star at Ukiah High School, he graduated in 1992 and enlisted in the Army (he’s 3rd generation military) where he served on many special missions as a decorated Army Ranger. After his term ended, he returned to Ukiah and immediately enrolled in the Police Academy at Two Rock, graduated, began his career in law enforcement and started his family—exactly in that order. He currently works for the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office as a patrol Sergeant in the Northern Sector. He has also held positions as detective and as a member of the SWAT Team. Last summer, before his promotion to Sergeant, he was honored as Officer of the Year, in the Investigative Unit of the Sheriff’s Department. Jason is very modest and shies away from his personal accomplishments, stating that he the most proud of his family and prefers spending time with them fishing, camping, following his children’s sports, or riding quads on Cow Mountain.
