Save Energy, Save Money, and Save the Planet
The Leave Your Mark campaign is a great way to get your children, family, school, and youth group involved in this simple energy saving community art project! This is a wonderful way to get kids creatively involved.
1. Take the Pledge!
I pledge to do everything in my power to save energy and protect the environment.
I promise to:
Turn off lights in empty rooms
Replace old lightbulbs with CFL* bulbs
Turn off TVs and computers when not in use
Use my major appliances like dishwashers,
washing machines and dryers after 7p.m.
2. Make Your Leaf.
Have your whole family take the pledge and sign a leaf! Color it, sparkle it, create your own. There are more leaf patterns on our website. Ask your preschool or school or youth group to get involved, too!
Do you have lots of leaves? Make a tree to display them! Maybe we’ll have a whole forest! Send us a picture of your child with a leaf or your child’s class with their leaves! You can post these on our website!
3. Come and Celebrate.
Bring your leaves and your trees to the Baby & Child Fair where we’ll celebrate our community’s commitment to greener living. Check out all the greener living ideas for your family at the Fair! Admission is FREE. Join Family-Life Magazine and Climate Protection Campaign. The Leave Your Mark Campaign is part of California’s Flex Your Power program. Find out more about energy saving ideas at www.flexyourpower.org. and www.climateprotectioncampaign.org.
Join us at the Baby & Child Fair, Sat., September 26th from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at the Finley Community Center, Santa Rosa. Learn more here.
