When January rolls around, Mendocino County proclaims its adoration for a certain crustacean with Crab Fest. The festival’s county-wide events, which are held January 24–February 2 and are mostly for those 21 and older, include wine tastings, brunches, kayak tours, and two Mendocino Coast Clinics (MCC) benefits in Fort Bragg: the Cioppino Dinner on January 31 and the Crab Cake Cook-Off and Wine Tasting Competition on February 1 (crabwinebeermendo.org).
