Legendary musician Taj Mahal has been playing rhythm and blues for decades. Now 78 years old, he wants to light the way for emerging R&B musicians. To this end, he is hosting the Roots Rising Showcase, a livestream concert that will feature Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley, Amythyst Kiah, Annie Mack, Leyla McCalla, and Piedmont Bluz Acoustic Duo, among others.
