Looking down at the world from the top of a Ferris wheel is a classic fair experience, one easily had at the Mendocino County Fair and Apple Show. The fair will offer not only carnival rides, but also art and livestock displays, apple and cider tastings, and, for a separate fee, a CCPRA rodeo. It all happens September 17–19, 9 a.m.–midnight daily, at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds in Boonville. General admission tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for ages 13–18, $6 for ages 7–12, and free for ages 6 and younger. (On September 17, children 12 and younger get in free.)
