The Renaissance was like a big two-century party celebrating the end of the Middle Ages. Artists and writers, including Shakespeare, thrived. And it will be the Bard’s work that Konocti Christian Academy students perform at the 15th Annual Lake County Renaissance Fair. There also will be music, hands-on activities, and demos of leather-working, archery, and brass-rubbing. Live and silent auctions will feature artwork, handmade jewelry, local fruit and wines, and gift certificates for services and products. The event, a fundraiser for the Academy, will be held on May 7, 9 a.m.–4 p.m., at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport.
