Join the local library’s summer reading challenge. After 15 books, readers receive a halfway prize; another prize after 30 books. Children can also cross out squares on an activity grid toward prizes. Fun options include telling your librarian a joke, donating gently-used toys, and writing or drawing your own short story! This summer’s kick-off event is Saturday, June 15. 1–2 p.m. Other activities throughout the summer include LEGO hour, Kids’ Farmer’s Market, Build-a-Robot event, and more.
