The Vision We envision a future in which all children are honored with equitable access to high quality education that results in success in community and career. We will empower all students to become critical thinkers, innovative problem solvers, and effective leaders through a dynamic and collaborative curriculum.

This new charter school will bring education back to the Hopland community for our students and families, in addition to providing our small town a place to gather and our children the personalized education they deserve.

STEAM Based STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.

Innovative Learning Opportunities for students will include access to outdoor education, blending learning, native and community gardens, and an emphasis on agriculture, with strong support for cultural studies and multilingual students.

Grades Served Ukiah Unified School District has approved Shanél (Sanel) Valley Academy to serve Transitional Kindergarten - 6th grade. This is a free public school open to all families who want to attend.
