Redwood Adventure Camps

Leggett, CA 95585

Adventure Awaits You!

The name Redwood Adventure Camp is a perfect fit for us; the redwood is a part of Camp in many ways. The Camp logo has an image of the redwood on it and the Ranger Award, an emblem of growth at Camp, is in the shape of a redwood tree. The redwood is also a beautiful symbol of nature, strength, California, and longevity and a perfect setting for all the adventures of Camp!

Providing opportunities for leadership development, spiritual and personal growth, environmental stewardship, lifelong friendships, fun and excitement that help individuals navigate life’s challenges and serve the broader community.

Adventure/Survival Program

10th & 11th Grades
Boys: July 13, 2022- July 27, 2022
Girls: July 4, 2022 – July 18, 2022
The Adventure/Survival program is a two-week program designed to be the culmination in both outdoor challenges as well as teamwork, leadership skills and spiritual development. This program includes advanced camp crafts, outdoor living skills as well as training in survival skills. Training will peak with the campers participating in a 24-hour solo that will allow them to demonstrate these new skills. The campers will also take part in a four-day backpacking trip, an orienteering trip to the ocean, and a high elements ropes course .

The spiritual program is just as challenging as the physical program. The advanced nature of Adventure/Survival activities requires intense teamwork and dependability with each individual. Special emphasis on self-awareness, spiritual growth and development of close friendships are all integral aspects of the experience. Adventure/Survival campers are responsible for planning and executing morning prayer.

Applicants need to be in good health for the physically strenuous activities involved. Acceptance will be determined by evaluation of the camper’s previously demonstrated ability to hike well and work harmoniously with others.

Graduate Program

11th & 12th Grades
2022 Dates: July 6, 2022 – July 13, 2022
The Graduate program is the final stage of the camper experience. This co-ed program lasts one week, and is held in the Lost Cost, King Range. Graduate is based on a challenging hiking route that will start in the beautiful coastal mountains and end on the shores of Black Sands Beach. Built into this beautiful hike are exercises to help you explore the possibility of future leadership roles as well as develop and mature your spiritual understanding of yourself and your world.

The groups camp in separate sites but come together in the evenings for campfire revelry as well as spiritual discussion and challenges. This structure allows and encourages healthy social and spiritual interactions between the two groups. Although we consider this program complementary to our CIT program and staffing, you do not have to be a CIT to participate in Graduate, nor do you have to complete Graduate to become a staff member.
